I’m pulling up to Funplex with my dad. Starting to get nervous like I’m about to walk onto a court instead of into a gaming center but like I said, I don’t wanna talk about. What I want to do…need to do is stop tripping and go out and have some fun with my friends.

“Go and have some fun with your friends.” My dad says to me. Sometimes I really think he can read my mind.

But he’s right and so am I so I’m not gonna worry about the last time or the Zayns or anything. Time to party!

I walk in and I know the layout by heart. To the left, there’s the bowling alley. I can clearly hear the balls crashing into the pins from here. Straight ahead, there’s rock-climbing wall with kids all over it. To the right is the arcade Billie, Adrian, and I’s favorite. I’ll be spending some time over there for sure.

And above it all…the Gravity Ropes. The infamous Gravity Ropes. A series of planks winding around from one end of the building to the other. I definitely won’t be going near that. Why? I don’t wanna talk about it…

But first things first, I gotta find Billie and Adrian.

“Hey Ronnie!” I hear Adrian yelling right on time.

I look around and spot him and Billie by the food court heading my way.

“Ready to have some fun?” Billie asks me with a big smile on her face.

I smile back.

“Oh yeah I’m ready!”

“Cool you know the routine, we make a lap, see who’s here and what’s what before we decide what to get into first.” Adrian says.

Sounds like a plan to me. First stop, the food court to get some nachos (add some chili on mine since I’m feeling extra good). Then the arcade where we shoot hoops like we always do where Billie turns into Steph Curry and beats me and Adrian like she always does. I’m used to it so I don’t complain but Adrian vows to get revenge on her one of these days. We all laugh and keep it moving.

We eventually pass by the bowling alley and Adrian stops us.

“You know what’s crazy?” Adrian stops and asks Billie and I. “We’ve never bowled here. I’m an expert bowler ya know?”

Billie and I look at each other confused. This is the first we’ve heard of his bowling expertise.

“Well I gotta see this!” Billie says answering Adrian’s obvious challenge.

Into the bowling alley we go.

Now I’m not much of a bowler so my main goal here is to not throw any gutter balls, Billie and Adrian can have all the glory. We get our lane and our extra ugly (and slightly smelly) bowling shoes and we’re ready to go. Billie’s first, then Adrian, then me. Billie knocks down 8 pins and Adrian actually starts off with a strike. Maybe he is a pro bowler?

“You’re up Ronnie.” He says as he dances by me still celebrating his strike.

Ok Ronnie eyes on the prize, the prize being no gutter balls of course.
