Jens Ehrler, who had joined the Wehrmacht in mid-1940, recalled an old flame of his in the days of his youth, when he was just 19 years of age:

All the women loved a uniform, for some it was a great turn on. The girlfriend I had at the time was more an on-off relationship. We had been friends since infant school, so we could pick up with one another without any complexity or having to go through lengthy courtships or anything. If we wanted sex, we would go with one another primarily for sex; it was as simple as that, no messing around. She would insist I take off all my clothing but once naked I should put my jacket back on. I found wearing the jacket in this manner a little itchy and uncomfortable, yet it turned her into a nymphomaniac; there was nothing she wouldn’t do to me while wearing the jacket and we would have sex two or three times in one go. In many ways it was much like the German girls we would see wearing various uniforms – they did look, what you would say, very sexy, and the girls thought much the same about us no doubt.

My only problem with this was the horror of getting semen on my uniform jacket or damaging it, I could get into a lot of trouble in that way from my superiors.

We all did some crazy things as we were young and there was a war on, we might not live long and had to make the best of that time we had left; that was our thinking. I knew another girl who told me her boyfriend enjoyed wearing her bra and knickers as a part of their sexual foreplay. I remember her saying, ‘We used to do it the normal way, but this way gives us the best fucking ever.’ I told her I was not interested in wearing women’s clothes, no matter how good the sex might be. I was never kinky, but I was definitely adventurous and never afraid to try new ways of having sex or the girl wearing uniforms and things.
