This restoration is impossible, however, until the same divorce in nature has been surpassed. But this comes about more slowly because it has a much deeper life force. In this regard humanity is a sacrifice for nature, just as at first nature was a sacrifice for humanity. We must wait with our full existence for it. Ultimately, of course, the crisis of nature must arrive, through which the long illness will be resolved…. This crisis is the last of nature, so it is the “last judgment.” Every crisis in the physical is also a judgment. Through a truly alchemical process the good is separated from the evil…out of this crisis emerges a wholly healthy, utterly pure and blameless nature. Nothing will enter this pure nature except that which truly is, that can truly be only in its proper relationship; as a result, nature will be liberated from the pseudo-being, from the non-being.
