Fruit Crisp (Triple Berry)

You can customize this recipe to use whatever you have on hand. Serve warm, and if desired, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprig of fresh mint.

Cook Time: 35 to 40 minutes

Ingredients

Fruit Filling

4½ cups fresh or frozen berries

½ cup granulated sugar

1 T. cornstarch

Optional: ½ tsp. spice (I use cinnamon, nutmeg, or lemon zest, depending on the berry)

Pinch of salt

Crisp Topping

1 cup old-fashioned oats

½ cup all-purpose flour

½ cup brown sugar, packed

½ tsp. cinnamon

¼ tsp. salt

6 T. unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
