Damon looked out the window of the jet. He knew Vince would be furious if he knew they were flying to Arizona. With Nardozzi came unexpected surprises and Damon did not want Vince caught off guard in a town he was unfamiliar with. Nardozzi’s operatives were looking every second of every day; now that they knew Vince was involved with someone, they wouldn’t stop.

“I think he truly cares for him, Damon.”

Damon turned to see Antonio looking at him.

“Si?”

“I saw the way he looked at the agent. He cares,” Antonio nodded.

Damon sighed, running his hands over his face. “If anything were to happen to him, then…”

“It would not be good,” Antonio said.

“It would be horrific, Antonio. As much as Vince has tried to become human, there is always his feral side to contend with,” Damon said.

Marco came down the aisle with drinks. Setting them down, he took the seat opposite Damon.

“Where are we going?”

“We are landing in Sierra Vista; it is about thirty minutes from Vince’s location.”

“I would ask how you know that but…” Marco winked.

“You all have tracking devices on you somewhere.” Damon smiled as Antonio looked at his watch. “No. In your body, Antonio.”

“I have always known how you feel about us, Damon. We are like your own children, Vince more so I think. You raised him from a boy and into a man; you watched him become what he is today.”

Damon sighed, sadly. “And now he may have found love, only to lose it if we can’t stop Nardozzi.”

“It will be good to see Vince truly in love.” Marco sat back, sipping his drink.

Damon looked out the window. “Yes, it will.”
