Chapter Nine
Holt
The table was full. It was the largest one in the old english pub. The Oak beams reminded me of the place weâd arrived at for the meal with Harryâs family but somehow it was nicer? My mum had joined us not long after weâd arrived. She sat herself next to Nance and Jay. Right in the middle of them. I giggled to myself as I saw my mum and Jay bickering quietly. Buddy and Marley were chatting loudly and I found myself listening in to the conversation.
âNo Buddy,â Marley pushed his shoulder âPansexual and Bisexual are different.â He sounded exasperated.
âBut how though?â His large blue eyes were glazed over and I laughed.
âYouâre honestly doing my fucking head in now.â Marleyâs camp hand wave made me chuckle even more.
âIsnât Bi like you fancy both?â I question them. Buddyâs eyes shift towards me.
âYeah but Pans is like falling in love with somebody regardless of what they are?â He gestured towards me and I watched Marley place his head in his hands.
âOh fuck sake, somebody tell him to shut up?â Marley muttered.
âShut up Buddy.â Haz grinned and I rolled my eyes. âWhy are you arguing over it?â
âWe arenât arguing!â They protested in unison. I heard Nance laugh and place her head against Buddyâs shoulder. Sheâd had a little bit to drink. Buddy placed his arm around the back of her chair and I wriggled my brows at them. Nance laughed and shook her head.
âHe looks too much like him.â She pointed at Haz who frowned.
âWe look nothing alike.â A laugh escaped Sophâs lips.
âHm, not much hey?â She laughed as she bit her cherry from her cocktail. âHeâs just a shorter, chubbier you with a little less whit and heâs much more fun.â I bit down on my lip and stirred my cocktail. That was Sophâs signature move. Shit sandwich. The good, the insult and the good. Iâm pretty sure sheâd just insulted them both.
âHe is not more fun than me.â He protested. His large arms folded in defense.
âI am. Iâm not as serious, wanna see what itâs like to be with somebody whoâs a laugh Av?â He wriggled his brows and I pushed my lips together to stop a laugh escaping.
âI bet heâs good in the sack.â Soph added and I cringed slightly.
âHe is.â Chlo must have overheard and I glanced up at her. âHang on which one?â The innocence in her eyes made me smile.
âBuddy.â Soph answered. Chlo winked at him and smirked.
âHmm, he was good for a first timer.â I watched Buddy flush and Haz laughed a real genuine laugh.
âWait you lost your v to Chlo?â Nanceâs eyes widened and he shook his head.
âNo!â He exclaimed, he was clearly flustered and Chlo was thriving in it.
âNah not me but he hadnât long started dabbling. Iâm pretty sure we were drunk?â She finished the last bit of her wine and looked over her shoulder towards a very quiet Missy.
âWe were. I couldnât even remember. I just remember waking upâ¦â His voice trailed off into the distance and I heard laughter come from Sophâs lips.
