Poseidon
As Brooke ran away over the sand I wondered at the wisdom of my brother in revealing himself to the mortal when he did. As he told it, Cameron had welcomed him into his bed eagerly, not knowing who he truly was, but when the truth was revealed, he had rejected it. He had rejected the Ruler of Olympus.
I didnât know if I would be able to lie to Brooke the way Zeus had lied to Cameron. He had waited until the mortal was in love with him before revealing his power, but it seemed unfair to ask so much.
I wanted Brooke to accept me for what I was.
My cock throbbed with delicious hardness as I thought about his face as I had taken him in my mouth; and the taste of him as the ecstasy had claimed him.
I rubbed my hand over my lips and smiled. It had taken every ounce of restraint to hold back from taking Brooke for my own right there on the rough wood. The moment our lips touched, I knew he was different, that Iâd been drawn to him for a reason. The sound of the ocean crashed in my ears and the pull of the tide raked through my body every time I touched him⦠was this what Zeus had described? Is this what it was to find the divine spark that was meant for me?
I had to speak to my brother. He would be smug when I revealed it to him⦠of that I had no doubt. I shook my head and hauled myself to my feet. Brooke had almost disappeared over the sand, and I leaned on the railing and watched him go. He was beautiful, lithe and swift on the water, and now on land. I knew at once which goddess I had to thank for his bloodline, and I chuckled at the realization.
âAll of us make sacrifices in the face of such a curse,â I murmured at the rising moon. Carrying this thought in my mind, I willed myself to Olympus in the hope that my brother would be there.
