Munchie

I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body as I walked over to the black granite his-and-her sink with double vanity mirrors. My hands were still fucking shaking from almost getting caught at Raheem’s crib. I thought I was going to have a heart attack when Bishop walked in that bathroom. I almost broke my damn neck hopping in the tub and closing the curtain. I had to cover my mouth with both hands because of how hard I was breathing, and that’s when my elbow hit the curtain and made it move.

I heard Bishop walking over to the bathtub, and I almost died right there. When Raheem called his name, and he walked away, I hopped out of that tub so fast and took off. Thankfully, I had left my belongings in Bishop’s car that was parked in the garage. I’m sure I looked like someone was after me the way I took off from Raheem’s place. And I still wasn’t sure if I’d escaped without being seen, because Bishop had texted me saying that we needed to talk.

I didn’t have time for that, and I was trying my hardest to get ready and leave to go out to eat with Baby Jo. I was so shaken up that I’d texted and asked if we could go a little earlier, and she agreed. I wasn’t even nervous about seeing her anymore, because that other shit had topped the cake. After I was done brushing my teeth, I walked into the bedroom and moisturized my skin before getting dressed. Then I went back inside the bathroom and put my hair in one braid going to the back before applying a little makeup.

After I finished, I went and slid on a pair of my fur slides and got ready to leave, but I was too damn late because I heard the alarm announcing the front door had been opened. I grabbed my purse and then went downstairs to meet Bishop.

“You look nice,” he said as soon as he saw me and walked over to kiss me. I kissed him back, and he wrapped his arms around me.

“Thank you. How was Bella?” I questioned and pulled away from him to go take a seat on the couch, and he followed.

“She was good. And I know you having a hard time adjusting to everything, but just know you ain’t got shit to worry about. I’m not fucking with Rissa no more. When I go over there, it’s strictly about Bella,” he said, taking a seat next to me.

“Really… strictly about Bella?” I questioned him, and he started to look annoyed.

“Munchie, don’t start that bullshit, man.” He shook his head.

“All I’m saying is I don’t see why she can’t come over here. First, she had to get her two-month shots. Now, it’s another fucking excuse. That bitch is trying to control you, and you’re letting her.”

“I’m doing what da fuck got to be done so I can be in my daughter’s life.
