“And your sap ass wants her to come get the whip?” Pat asked through laughter.

Blue couldn’t help it and laughed at himself as well. “Nigga, hell yeah she can get that shit. Ain’t nobody pushing it anyway. Might as well let her have her way with it.”

It was mid-afternoon and Blue had just left the library. He’d been headed to get some food but stopped to make a call really quick. He hadn’t talked to Pat in about a week and missed his nigga. They were full grown men that clowned like teenagers. Pat was older than him and was more like a father figure but was still his best friend.

“She said she coming?”

“Nah,” Blue laughed some more. “She probably thought I was just talking.”

“Baby girl just don’t know you’re a whole Casanova out here,” Pat clowned Blue some more.

Blue ran his hand over his face trying to hide his embarrassment. Pat might have been making jokes, but he wasn’t lying. Blue really was a lover boy. He was a dog to most women, but when he wanted one woman, that was the one he wanted and had absolutely no problem showing it. Pat had saw that first-hand with his daughter, Azayna.

Blue had been crushing on her hard as hell, even loved her some, but she’d chosen that nigga Egypt over him. Even after he’d dogged her out, she sat around waiting on him to come back to her and had kicked Blue’s ass to the curb when he did. Blue hadn’t understood it then but seeing her happy and married to the fool now, helped some.

They had moved out of the city, started a fresh life, and was busy raising their baby together. Zon was a cute li’l nigga too. Pat showed him to Blue so much, Blue felt like he knew the kid and still had never seen him in person.

“Fuck you, Cuz,”

Pat’s laughter died down some. “You know I have to fuck with you. The Forever girl, she any good?”

“Yeah, I think she can handle it. I wasn’t too sure at first, but she’s been working with that sick fool Hope and studying and stuff, so I’ve got faith in her.”

“I know. I hit Hope up the other day with some cash, and he told me that she’s been stressing herself out, staying up late at night, calling every got damn body she knows to get their opinion,” Pat chuckled some. “The way he talks makes it sound like she’s giving it all she’s got.”

Hearing that Forever was doing the best she could for him made Blue feel a way that he couldn’t explain. She’d told him that she was going to make it happen for him but hearing it from a third party made it sound even better. Not to mention how proud of her it made him. It was one thing for him to know, but to have his nigga seeing how hard she was going for him, put Forever in a league of her own.
