RELEASING CAPTIVES THROUGH HEAVENLY STRATEGIES

One of the ways we need to exercise our authority as citizens of Heaven is in the area of helping others to be released from captivity. Sometimes we are in a dark place in our minds and we need the Word of God to shed light. Sometimes our family or friends are in this place and we need the tools to help release them from captivity.

When I began to use these tools I am teaching you in this chapter, God began to release those around me. I would go into the rooms with the heavenly vats and pull out what each person needed to bless them. I would declare and decree and call these needed items into the earthly realm. This truly changed my thinking on how important it is to God for us to intercede for others and help them receive what they need from Heaven.

When you can help someone by accessing these heavenly vats on their behalf, you are truly fulfilling one of God’s purposes on earth as an intercessor or one called to stand in the gap to release the captives. In this chapter, I show you how to release the heavenly vats of new grain, wine, oil, and gold into situations where people you love are being held captive.

INTERCEDE FOR THE CAPTIVES

We need to understand that darkness is not so much about what is around you. Many times, it’s what’s suffocating you on the inside. God wants to give you sight to see in the darkness. Darkness represents a level of captivity. We as the people of God are called not only to be free, but also to do what? To set other people free! God didn’t just set you free for yourself. He set you free and He saved you that you might be the light that goes out and is in cooperation with Him, in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, to help bring salvation to another person.

Salvation comes when the blinders fall off people’s eyes and they begin to see. When God calls us to be the change in our environments, we will notice warfare in our relationships. Difficult relationships reveal that you are not in sync with the other person. If you are not seeing eye to eye, there is a veil of darkness present. Now, of course, we all want to think that we’re the ones who are seeing clearly and others are not. That may be truth. However, they may be seeing clearly and you may not be.

But when you come together as believers, God doesn’t want you to get into a brawl because you disagree. That is not His will. He instead wants you to be the one who goes to the mountain and asks for supernatural sight to help release the captive person who is creating those issues in your life. Most of the time people do not want to pray for someone who is creating issues for them. But that’s not how it works in the Kingdom of God, it’s actually the opposite.
