Because she was feeling pleased with the situation, Mia ordered them dessert. It was nearly Christmas after all. Raith definitely had a sweet tooth - more than just a need for sugar in his coffee. He ate the chocolate fudge sundae she ordered him with such enthusiasm that she ordered him a cookie dough and ice cream as well.

“Why did we bother with burgers and chips?” he said. “Should have skipped straight to dessert.”

Mia laughed, eating her own chocolate fudge cake with a little more reserve. She would never be one of those women who watched her calories or denied herself cake out of fear of a few extra pounds. Mia knew she had a few extra pounds and she was rather fond of them, thank you very much. A little extra could go a long way if you knew how to work it. But there was indulging in dessert and having two desserts and looking like a third would finish the evening off nicely. Mia knew where she fell on that particular spectrum.

“How are you so ripped if you eat like that,” Mia said.

“How do you know I’m ripped?” Raith said, waggling his eyebrows at her.

“Oh, come on. I’ve seen your arms. Are you telling me there isn’t a six pack to go with them? I’ll be horribly disappointed.” She smirked to let him know she was only teasing, but she didn’t think she was wrong in her suspicions that there were washboard abs hiding underneath Raith’s top.

“I don’t think it would be appropriate to take my clothes off in here,” Raith said, running his hand over his stomach. “But you could have a little feel, see what you think.”

Mia laughed. She didn’t think he was serious, but she’d show him. You couldn’t lay a gauntlet like that in front of a girl and then not expect her to take it. She shuffled round closer to him, laying her hand against his stomach.

“Hmm,” she said, tracing small circles with her palm. “I’m not sure with your shirt in the way like that.”

She hooked the edge of his shirt with her fingers and slipped her hand underneath it, running her hand over his skin. He was warm and soft and - as she suspected - firm with muscle.

“Wicked female,” Raith said, eyes glinting as he looked down at her.

Mia batted her eyelashes at him as she withdrew her hand. “I was right, though. Definitely some good abs.”

“I get lots of exercise,” Raith said, his eyes tracing the shape of her body before meeting hers again.

Oh yes, Mia knew exactly what he meant when he said ‘exercise’.

The heat between her thighs started building again. All night her body had been responding to his, every flirtations grin, every delicious smirk, sending her libido into overdrive. She hadn’t come into this arrangement expecting any extras, but what could she say? The man was a tower of delicious muscle and sexy as all hell. If he suggested it, she was absolutely going to unwrap him like a Christmas present.
