Run this circuit several times to convince yourself that Bob’s qubit ends up in the same state as Alice’s qubit. To further convince yourself, calculate the state of Bob’s qubit using matrix arithmetic.

With Bob’s qubit in the same state as Alice’s qubit, why don’t we claim that this circuit clones Alice’s qubit?

In this chapter, we assumed that Eve never applies any Hadamard gates. That’s okay because having Eve apply Hadamard gates doesn’t change the overall outcome.
