46.2.2 Equivalent Circuit of ECESM

During the start-up process, the outer rotor rotates at the speed of n 1 and is excited by DC current I 1, producing magnetic potential F 1 at speed n 1, while the inner rotor rotates at speed n 2 with induced current of I 2, producing the corresponding magnetic potential F 2 at speed n; F 1 and F 2 are synthesized as equivalent magnet potential F m to form air gap magnet field. Eddy current schematic diagram is shown in Fig. 46.2.
