BLACK SESAME BUTTERCREAM ICING
70g unsalted butter, at room temperature
45g Black Sesame Paste (see here)
500g icing sugar
60ml milk
Beat the butter and sesame paste together in a bowl until smooth.
Add the icing sugar and milk and beat on a low speed until all the ingredients are well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then beat for a further minute on a medium speed until smooth.
Ice each cupcake with the black sesame icing and either leave plain or decorate as desired.
