COMPUTATION

In this section, I return to theories of information that have tackled the question of entropy in the context of algorithmic machines, and I propose that the digital function of information needs to be contextualized in the history of mechanized logic. I revisit these kernels of cybernetics and information theory, from both the computational model of quantification and from the problem of entropy in systems of prediction and control, in order to develop a view about the specific function of information in automated systems.

As already mentioned, I suggest that the interactive paradigm, which more clearly sits in second-order cybernetics, has become the dominant form of mediatic communication today by way of its expansion of interactive algorithms. This paradigm specifically involves:
