CHAPTER 11
Alena
I closed my eyes and inhaled Black's scent as he carried me. I wanted to cry and tell him what had happened, apologize, explain that Tor had tortured me into misbehaving. But he seemed to know all that, and all I wanted as I clung to his neck was to fall asleep with him stroking my hair.
When he started to set me down, I opened my eyes. The air was humid and I recognized the room with the big bathtub - this was a basin that you would fill with water, and sit in, instead of taking a pressurized shower.
It's probably not necessary to explain that such a thing did not exist in ATDC.
Black set me down on a bench on the far side of the room. I liked this place: it was dim and humid, warm and pretty. And it was a place that only Black took me to.
He didn't say anything, just knelt down to take my slippers off, very carefully, as though I was made of glass. His eyes moved over my legs as he did this, seeking, like Cap often did, any signs of maltreatment.
He wouldn't find any: Tor knew how to torture me sweetly and without leaving any marks. But Black raised his hand and drew it from my knee to to my ankle, where Tor had pressed his fingers deep into my flesh as he held my feet up, close to my hips, the second time he came in my ass. Black seemed to know exactly where Tor's fingers had sunk into my skin, even though there were no marks, and he swirled his fingertips over that place now, then leaned over to the patch of sore muscle, just above my ankle, and kissed it.
I inhaled sharply. Even after all that Tor had done to me, which was just about everything you could imagine, Black's lips sent an electrical pulse through my body. It traveled along my skin, a little lethargic, like me. Up my calf, behind my knee, along my inner thigh, and then to the center of my legs.
Wordlessly, he met my eyes, and then turned to turn on the water and fill the basin.
I liked to give myself over to Black, after going to Tor, or Scar, or Doc. Even after going to Rhys, when he was especially enthusiastic.
Black could be "enthusiastic" as well, but he was the only one who had these moments of tenderness.
He took me by the hands and helped me stand. Gently peeled away the robe, walking it over to the bench as I stood there, waiting. He pushed my hair from the back of my neck when he returned, standing behind me, his fingers moving very gently over my body. Black always handled me like a piece of fragile art, a delicate flower, a precious object.
"What did he do to you here?" he asked, his fingers moving down my spine. My head had fallen forward, my eyes heavy with delirium at his touch. I had
