Sunday evening I rang K.C.'s doorbell dressed in a fit and flare white dress and tan strappy sandals with wedge heels. Lilly had done my hair up in a curly hawk again and I was in that kind of mood so I'd applied a red matte lipstick.

K.C. answered the door looking quite dapper himself in a short-sleeved mustard colored tee that hugged his biceps. A pair of dark wash jeans hugged his lower half just right.

"You look nice."

"Why thank you. You're looking like quite ravishing yourself. "

"Well I do try."

We shared a laugh as he stepped out and locked the door behind him.

I looped my arm through his as we headed to my car. "This is different. I've never picked a guy up for a date before."

K.C. chuckled. "I see. You ain't bring no flowers or nothing.”

Giggling, I swatted his chest while he opened the passenger door for me. “You are such a goof ball.”
