Let-go: whispering your words, if need be

There will be situations when a panic attack strikes but it is inappropriate for you to say your ‘words of sanctuary’ out loud so, if necessary, find a place where you can whisper them: nurses can go to the sluice room - men and women in offices can sit at their computer with their eyes fixed on the screen but concentrating on their words - teachers can go to the staff room - shop assistants can go to the store room - public toilets have proved to be places where many sufferers have whispered their words - shop keepers (once the situation has been explained) will often allow the sufferer to find sanctuary for a few moments - and churches (if you can find one open) have also proved to be exceptionally beneficial places etc.
