Drake laid her out on the massage table and thanked the universe that Sandra knew how to build a privacy room. She’d called them aftercare rooms, but the ones he’d experienced were much smaller. He’d worried he would have to change his plans, but nope, he had plenty of room to move here.

Plenty of room to get her hot all over again, to get her so hot she wouldn’t even think about turning him away.

He knew he could have had her but they’d had an audience, and he didn’t want their first time back together to be in public. It would give her another way to separate herself from the real emotions he hoped she was feeling.

Sex was the key. He’d decided it as they’d watched the scenes and she’d been uncomfortable. Not with the scenes themselves but with him, with their connection. He’d frayed that connection when he’d let so much time pass, and now he had to rebuild it.

They’d found that connection before. It was still there. He could feel it. He wasn’t sure it could be destroyed on his end, but he had to make her feel safe enough to want to acknowledge the connection from hers.

“That was nice.” Her eyes drifted open. She was lying face up on the table, her body relaxed and lush against the blanket that covered it.

It had been beyond nice. It had been everything he’d hoped for. He needed to keep her in that moment. He laid a hand against her boots. “I think these are sexy as hell, but they’re coming off now, baby.”

He liked that he could call her baby here and she wouldn’t argue with him. She simply bit that sexy bottom lip of hers and held her leg up. He eased the zipper down and dragged the boot off before doing the same thing to her other boot.

“I don’t know if I should have sex with you,” she said quietly, her eyes drifting closed.

Fuck. He knew giving her the slightest bit of time to think would let all those questions roar back into her head.

“All you have to do is say no.” He turned and grabbed the flogger he’d brought in his kit. “I assure you I won’t slip in without you knowing about it.”

Her eyes opened and lips curved up. “I think I would notice.”

“That was my point.” He stared down at her. “You either trust me this far or you don’t. If the answer is no, then I’ll find a robe for you and we can end this session.”

Her eyes closed again, and a long breath caused her breasts to move, nipples tightening in the cool air. “Don’t be so dramatic. I’m thinking out loud. Are you going to use that on me?”

He would slap her hard with it for that bratty reply, but the falls were buttery soft and wouldn’t sting at all. Instead he started at her toes and brushed the falls against her skin. “Only if you’re a good girl.
