T ez was up bright and early that Saturday morning riding around with Jayce. They had gone to breakfast and, now, he was picking up supplies for his shop. It was almost noon and Tez needed to get ready to open his shop. Jayce had finally gotten his weekends off again and he had been running after Sage to spend some time with her. She wasn’t feeling the idea of him being intimate with Monee, but he assured her that it was a long time ago. He wouldn’t touch Monee with a ten-foot pole now and he put that on his own life.

“Ole girl still giving you a hard time?” Tez asked as they drove back towards Jayce’s car.

“Yeah, man. She’s still on that shit that Cash told her about me and Monee,” Jayce replied.

“You know she’s coming to work at the shop with me, right? She’s supposed to be starting today,” Tez said.

“Who?”

“Cashmere,” Tez replied.

“You gon’ fall for her,” Jayce smirked.

“Man, I’m not thinking about Cashmere and no other broad right now. No offense, but I’m already married to a hoe. Destiny was undercover with her shit, but Cash is all out in the open with it.”

“Cash is good people. You gotta know her background and how she was raised in order to really understand her. Her mama, Samantha, and my mama were sisters. They were close at one time, until Sam started fucking with my mama’s boyfriend behind her back and got pregnant for him. That’s the kind of shit that she taught Cash and she don’t see nothing wrong with it.”

“Damn. That’s fucked up, but I still ain’t got nothing for her,” Tez swore.

“Yeah okay, I’ve heard that before. Cash just got this effect on people, not just men. Wait until you start talking to her. She gon’ pull you in too,” Jayce noted.

“Like I just said, I’m good on that right now. I got enough shit on my plate as it is,” Tez replied.

“What’s up with you and your wife? Did you talk to her yet?”

“Ain’t shit up with us. We don’t have nothing to talk about other than a divorce. My pops got plenty of vacant properties, so getting another spot is easy. Bitch sending me text messages talking about she love and miss me like she wasn’t about to get fucked by her ex-husband on the front porch. I really felt bad about how I was acting and I wanted to apologize. I guess her feelings weren’t as hurt as she claimed they were.”

“So, you not gon’ tell her that you saw her?” Jayce asked.

“Nigga, what? I can’t wait to tell her ass what’s up. I want to send her ass some papers before I do that though. Ramone told me that Bria was trying to get her send me some, but I’m gonna beat her to it.”

“Send you some for what? You ain’t even do shit.”

“Exactly, but my sister did that shit to her husband, trying to get his mind right. But, I’m not Ramone.
