Open a blank workbook.

In A1, type 56.789 and press shift+enter.

Press control+shift+4 to convert to currency format and note the change. As well as the currency symbol, the number display is rounded to two places.

Press control+1 to open the cell format dialog and press tab to move the focus to the category list. Note that "Currency" is already selected.

Press tab to move focus to the decimal place field.

Press NVDA+numpad 4 (laptop: NVDA+shift+left arrow) twice to move the focus back to the sample. NVDA should read "$56.79" or similar.

Change the decimal value different values and read the sample each time. Try setting it to 3, and then to 0.

Press enter to accept the change to 0 decimal places. The display of the number changes to "$57". The underlying number is still "56.789".

Close Excel without saving changes.
