To generate n-scroll chaotic attractor from the system (3.2), the inverse tangent function is proposed, which describes the nonlinearity in the system (3.2). The nonlinear function has two cases to generate chaotic attractor:

To create the chaotic attractor with an even number of scrolls, the adjustable nonlinear function is constructed as:

Similarly, to generate the chaotic attractor with an odd number of scrolls, the adjustable nonlinear function is constructed as:

where , , , , and are positive parameters. The nonlinear functions in (3.3) and (3.4) can offer and scrolls in attractor, respectively.
