I shake my head and smile, at the events of the previous evening as I set the phone on my desk before turning to work through my emails.

My body zings with excitement and contentment. The flirty texts add a new element to my world. I feel carefree and giddy as I walk through the club. The recent stress is excised from every corner of my mind, and I'm light on my feet. I've changed into one of my favorite Alexandra outfits, a dark blue corset and pencil skirt with a suit blazer. "Alexandra," Kade calls from down the hall.

Turning on my heels, I greet him with a smile.

"Good afternoon, my dear boy. How is life treating you?"

"Um," he stutters, stopping in front of me. "Good?"

His eyebrow quirks.

"Most excellent. What can I do you for?"

"Well. Is everything okay?"

"Never better. Tippy tappy and top o' the world."

"Are you on something?" Kade looks concerned.

"No. Can't I be happy for once?" I laugh.

"Unusual, odd, weird, frightening, worrisome? Which word were you going to end on?"

A smile pulls at the edge of his lips. "My god, did you get laid?"

The race of blood flushes under my skin. It's just sad, for someone who owns a sex club, who can walk through it watching a large amount of sordid activities, to be embarrassed when someone brings up their private life.

"That's what people do sometimes, Kade. You should try it."

Kade throws his head back in laughter.

"I do. Often. The same can't be said about you though." His eyes survey me again, as if it doesn't quite add up. "So who's the lucky guy?"

"Really, Kade? I don't kiss and tell."

"Cool. I'll torture it out of Samantha. We'll both enjoy it, and she'll give up your secret."

"Brat," I say, punching him in the arm.

"Why, Miss Alexandra, how very unladylike."

I roll my eyes.

"I believe you interrupted my day by yelling my name from down the hall rather than approaching me like a properly trained civilized submissive."

On cue, Kade's eyes fall to the floor, and I smile at his response.

"Yes, ma'am." His reverent tone does nothing to mask the grin plastered across his face.

"Come on then, let’s find out what’s so important."

We walk back towards my office in jovial silence, Kade throws me sideways glances as he shakes his head.

"Katie, hold my calls," I say rounding my assistant's desk.

I saunter over to my desk, clear a space, and hop onto it. My fingers curl around the edge. I smile up at Kade as I swing my legs.

"Okay, hit me, big boy. What have you got for me today? Sex in the swimming pool causing us to drain it or do we have unusually high chlorine count that turned a blonde's hair green? I know, blood on the carpet in studio B. That would be too bad, the ivory carpet really is beautiful. Wait, I know, someone’s written with lipstick on their submissive's back and pushed them against the freshly painted wall in Corridor C.
