Bercy Open-Air Food Market

LE MARCHÉ BERCY

Place Lachambeaudie and rue du Baron Le Roy, 12th arr.

Dugommier

Wednesday 3 pm to 8 pm; Sunday 8 am to 2 pm

Opened in February 2001, this market serves a part of Paris that is beginning to develop as a residential area relatively close to the city center. It’s small, but there is at least one of every kind of vendor. Bercy once lay outside the city and was used by shippers who stored wine here to avoid city taxes. This market celebrates the products of the department of Aveyron, in the south of France, known for its Saturday markets and a local wine that marries well with the famous cheese of the region, Roquefort.
