“How you feeling?” I heard my mom’s voice and turned toward the direction it came from. She had a phone to her ear as well as, a coffee in her hand. She hung up after seeing me awake. It’s weird no one else is here, not even my man.

“I’m ok. Where’s Bliss? Is Kena ok? Where’s daddy?” I bombarded her with questions as I tried to sit up. My leg is wrapped up and so is my arm.

“Everyone is ok. Shit, Jaele even returned.” I snapped my head.

“Jaele?” I was confused. All these years we couldn’t find her and she up and appears? Yea. She has to fill me in.

“Yup. We were waiting to hear about you and Kena, when Danaisha proposed to Jakari, and Jaele ran around looking crazy.”

“Wait a minute. You’re going too fast.” I pointed to the water jug and asked her to pour it for me. I drank it all and asked for more. I was extremely thirsty.

“Now you said, Danaisha proposed to Jakari and Jaele returned. Did I hear you correctly?” She nodded.

“And I just got off the phone with Kymani. Evidently; Kena attempted suicide but none of us are buying it. We believe her mom did something and she’s being tight lipped.” She cut her eyes and I had to agree. Her mom do so much, you would think she didn’t birth her.

“Wow. How long have I been out?” I glanced around for my phone to contact Bliss and to see where he was.

“Only overnight.” I was shocked because it didn’t feel like I slept long at all.

“And all this happened?” She chuckled and took a seat next to me.

“You never mentioned to Bliss what you did, now you have him and everyone else looking at me crazy because I didn’t say it either.” No wonder he isn’t here.

“Mom, I’m grown and...”

“And he’s your man.” Her hand was in mine.

“You can’t continue doing that without filling him in. Something is going to go wrong just like it did last night.” She made me look at her before gripping my chin with force.

“If he wasn’t there, you could’ve died Kyana.” I felt the tears ready to fall.

“If you don’t tell him and he finds out, he will leave you.” I waved her off and she let go. The job isn’t even that serious. But then again, someone tried to kill me.

“Suit yourself but Celeste has him thinking otherwise.”

“Celeste?” I questioned and she began to explain how she was in the ER with her mother and started talking shit about me disappearing and cheating. How did she know about me? Did he tell her? He had to if she brought it up; right? Whatever the case, I’m going to wait and see if Bliss brings it up. If not, ain’t no need to mention it.
