You’ll Need:

1 cup whole wheat flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

2 eggs

⅓ cup coconut oil, melted

¾ cup unsweetened carob chips

2 cups plain and unsweetened nonfat Greek yogurt

2 packets plain unsweetened xylitol-free gelatin

1 piping bag

4 plastic push-pop containers

New Year’s stickers (optional)

What to Do:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray an 8 x 8-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Stir in the eggs and melted coconut oil.

3. In a small glass bowl, heat the carob chips in the microwave. Pause and stir in 10-second increments until the chips are completely melted. Mix the melted carob chips into the medium bowl to create your brownie mixture.

4. Spread the brownie mixture across the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely before using.

5. Meanwhile, mix the yogurt and gelatin together and place the mixture in a piping bag. Set aside.

6. Prepare your push pops by washing the containers thoroughly and then decorating them with the stickers of your choice.

7. Crumble the cooled brownies and begin to fill the push-pop containers, alternating layers of brownie with the piped yogurt mixture. Top with a swirl of yogurt and a crumble of brownies, or one of the Star Dog Treats from page 94.

8. Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to serve.
