Chapter 11
Although everyone was distributed throughout the cities of Eshen, three people did not go out.
Olivia, Logan and Max had a different objective.
âSo how are you going to fly over?â Logan asked Olivia.
âIt's part of spirit magic with my birds. I can combine with them and obtain wings in the process.â She said.
She showed him and the wings were very similar to Maxâs and Logan mentioned that.
âThatâs because as a kid, I did the same thing.â He said and summoned the birds he had never seen. They were much fiercer than Oliviaâs.
âYet you wanted a winged lion?â Logan asked.
âI said shut up. The lion is a pet and partner but these are like familiars that help channel magic.â He said.
Logan just rolled his eyes and as the last of the soldiers finished entering they each spread their wings and launched in the air to their targets.
Their mission was to effectively immediately get their hands on the surrounding nationâs abandoned airships.
They went to cities with airfields for this.
Logan grinned as he arrived at one of them after a few hours of flying as he saw rows of abandoned ships literally gathering dust. Cities were abandoned by then and they flew in.
His eyes shone as he flew overhead and looked through them to make sure there were no major dangerous elements inside before landing and between the ships he placed the door and called the soldiers.
They were all dressed in black and covered from head to toe so that they were not identified and they quickly began to board the ships. All these soldiers were experienced air force soldiers and they quickly began to check the shipâs machinery and soon they started to turn on.
After about an hour, they were fully cleared and fueled up. During the check, at least three fourths of the soldiers searched the entire air field and gathered fuel containers, material and basically anything useful and put it away in the micro world before boarding the readied ships that began to take off one by one and turn towards Eshen in the dead of night.
Logan turned and headed to other airfields, there were far more soldiers than what 30 or so airships required to pilot it and so during the night the three ran through four air fields each and were quietly training during the day. They only moved at night so that the darkness would not alert the bandit armies to their plans until the ships were totally out of range for anyone to reach quickly.
After a week, they returned home and you could imagine how happy the air force was to receive hundreds of ready made airships that just needed outfitting to be usable.
Not to mention all the materials gathered in the air fields which were now valuable and much harder to acquire.
When they arrived and released the remaining soldiers, they each headed to their own assigned area. Training police was a very difficult endeavor and most of it will have to come from adventurers willing to settle down after this.
