Chapter Twelve

Exhaustion warred with the buzzing of discussion in his head. Oh, he’d known the Old Clan was planning on coming to the festival, and he’d just about crashed his truck a dozen times trying to get back here.

Fuck, Tayah looked gorgeous today. Slaughter cast a quick glance behind him to see the line of women by her booth. He wasn’t even one percent surprised.

“Um, what do you drink?” Eryn asked shyly. “Coffee? Whiskey? Engine fluid?”

He huffed a chuckle and said, “A coffee would be great. Black.”

There was a little coffee trailer pulled to the side of the booths, and she opened the door and scrambled on inside. He plucked the first piece of notebook paper from the pile in his hands.
