TIPS & TRICKS

In works where you need to knit a large number of stitches on each row we recommend using a circular needle since the weight of the knitting may otherwise be straining on both shoulders and wrists.

This blanket is also very pretty in a single or double moss stitch. In single moss stitch you knit purl stitches on the straight side; in double moss stitch you do the following: R1: * k2, p2, repeat from * R2: garter stitch on straight side, purl stitch on wrong side R3: * p2, k2, repeat from * R4: purl stitch on the wrong side, garter stitch on the straight side Repeat rows 1–4.

If you prefer not to knit the entire blanket in one large piece you can divide it in smaller squares and sew them together. You may even sew the squares together with large stitches in a contrasting color so the seams become a decorative element.

The edge can be knitted in the same color or shade, or in a completely different color.
