Chapter Eleven

Raven

It was a little after 4 A.M. when I woke up and I was still in Knight’s bed. I looked beside me, and he was still asleep on his stomach with his arms tucked under the pillow, snoring loud as hell. Quietly as I could, I got up and slipped my clothes back on and tipped out of his room, making sure not to disturb him. When I got back downstairs, I looked into the room that the kids were in, and they were still sound asleep. Once I made it inside of my room, I released the breath that I was unintentionally holding.

“What the hell did I do?” I asked out loud. Just thinking about the things that Knight did to me just a few hours prior had my body reacting. Shaking it off as best as I could, I went into the bathroom to take a shower and get a few hours of sleep before the kids got up.

I don’t know how long I was asleep, but the sound of knocks on the door woke me up out of my slumber. I looked at the phone that was on the nightstand by the bed and saw that it was after nine. It was probably one of the kids, if not both.

“Mommy’s coming,” I called out from the bed. Without thinking, I opened the door and Knight was standing on the other side looking like a chocolate God.

“I thought you did enough of that last night,” he stated with a smirk on his face.

“I…uh thought you were the kids.” For some reason, I felt exposed in my sports bra and boyshorts like this man hadn’t just seen and ravished every part of my body the night before.

“Nah, they’re in the kitchen eating their cereal.” He walked further in and closed the door behind him, and I heard it lock. “Why did you dip out on me like that? How did you know I was finished with you?” His voice was low and husky and filled with lust. I could hear the yearning in his voice, no matter how hard I tried to ignore it.

“I…you were asleep,” I stammered.

“And?” He now had me backed up against the dresser and I couldn’t move. Not that I really wanted to, anyway. I was about to find the words for another excuse, but him pressing his lips against mine forced them back down my throat. I knew I had no business kissing this man, but it felt good, and it felt right. When he picked me up and placed me on top of the dresser, I had to stop him.

“Th-the kids,” I croaked out. He broke the kiss momentarily before he pecked me again.

“You’re right, and you don’t know how to be quiet for shit.” I slapped his chest when he made that comment. Hell, he was the one carrying around all that dick, so he knew why I couldn’t keep quiet.

“I think we need to talk about last night,” I voiced.

“Nah, we don’t.
