It’s been two weeks since I found out Kharis and my kids were vampires. I felt like I was living in the damn twilight zone or some shit. I did get pictures of them everyday but it seemed like they were three months instead of two weeks.

This entire ordeal had me going crazy and if I didn’t get it together I was sure to be put in an institution. I didn’t even know vampires really existed. I mean that shit on TV was for entertainment purposes but to see it up close was another story.

I called my mother and told her I needed to speak with her; at least she would listen to me without judgment.

I got to her house around five and felt someone watching me; I didn’t even bother to turn around. I knew it was probably Kharis, because I read if they gave you their blood you would be attached to them and they’d know where you are at all times.

I opened the door and couldn’t find my mom anywhere. I yelled out for her and she still didn’t answer; which was weird being though she lived a three-bedroom ranch. I walked in the bedroom and almost threw up my food.

“Close the door son. I’ll be right out.” I hit myself on the head a few times trying to get the images of my mom being fucked from behind by some guy out my head.

She came out a few minutes later tying the robe around her waist, walked over to the fridge, grabbed the soda, poured herself something to drink and sat down.

“Boy, don’t look at me like that. You should’ve let someone know you wee coming over?”

“I didn’t know I had to since I’ve never done it before. And when did you get a man?”

“That’s how much you know. I’ve always had one.”

“I don’t even want to know.”

“Good. What’s this nonsense about you having a kid or should I say kids? I have never met this woman and from what I hear, she is head over heels in love with you.”

“Ma, who told you that?” The door opened and the guy that came in the delivery room walked out.

“What are you doing here?”

“Do you want to tell him or should I?” He asked my mom who shrugged her shoulders.

“Caleb, that’s your father.” I looked him up and down and laughed.

“Stop playing. My dad died when I was a baby.” The look she gave me let me know she was about to tell me some shit.

“Caleb, you’re father did die in a way.”

“What do you mean in a way?” She begun telling me some story about my dad having cancer and his best friend saving him in a way medical research couldn’t.

“Let me get this right.” I stared at the guy she claimed to be my pops.

“Your friend is Ambrogio, who is my kids’ grandfather, whose mother I just found out was a vampire.”

“Yes.”

“What the fuck? Is everybody one? I mean they are just taking over the world?” I was becoming more and more aggravated hearing the shit.
