Note that the hypothesis that (W, S) is irreducible is made here just to simplify the statements. The general case may be easily reduced to this case. We prove in this chapter that is a two-sided cell and that it is the only submaximal one, while the are left cells and are the only submaximal ones. We also explain a strange property of the W-graph associated with submaximal left cells, whenever is finite.
