How to multitask with App switcher

You can use “App Switcher” to easily swap between apps without having to close them.

Swipe up from the bottom until you get half-way of the screen to launch the “App Switcher”.

This will display your apps in the order they were opened, each looking like a screenshot.

Swipe up any app to force close it. You can use two fingers to close multiple apps at a time – simply swipe up using the same motion to close them.

How to Dictate Text

If you are not a fan of typing, you can dictate your messages and have them written out as text. Just tap on the microphone icon next to the spacebar and start speaking. Click on Done once you are through with your speech. To include punctuation, just say the word. For instance, for the sentence “Hi Josh, how are you?” you would say, “Hi Josh comma how are you question mark.” You can even say “new paragraph” to add a new line

If you can’t find the microphone icon on your keyboard, you will need to enable dictation.

Head to Settings, then select General and then Keyboards. Activate ’Enable Dictation”.
