4. With RST, sew a 3½" (8.89cm) rust square to the right side of (20) HSTs. The rust should be on the upper right side of the unit, as shown. Press the seams to the rust square. Make (20) units.

5. Referring to the illustration, sew a unit from steps 3–4, RST, matching the center seams. Press the seam toward the rust arrow point. Square to 6½" (16.51cm). Make (20) arrow point units.

Block 1

1. Sew a 3½" (8.89cm) x WOF green strip to the top of a 6½" (16.51cm) x WOF light background strip. Press the seam toward the green. Make (2) strip sets. Cut the strip sets into (16) 3½" x 9½" (8.89 x 24.13cm) segments.
