Maze wasnât playing when she said she could eat a whole pizza by herself. She ordered a medium and two larges, and sure enough, she ate the whole medium pizza by herself. I snatched a piece from her because I had never tried pineapples and ham on a pizza before, but she made up for it by taking a slice of the pepperoni and sausage pizza that was leftover.
While we ate, we talked about ourselves a little more.
I told her about how I wanted to start my own label when I got out of my contract. How I wanted to branch out and expand my brand once I shed the bad boy image. Eventually, I wanted to become a music director for films and have my own cologne and shoe line created. I was already doing a great deal as far as charity work was concerned, but I wanted to get other celebrities on board to help as well.
She found it hard to believe someone like me wanted to get married and have kids. Not just marriage and family; I wanted the dog with a white picket fence and all.
I couldnât see myself rapping and being in the limelight for too much longer. Ten more years was the most I saw myself giving the world before I stepped back, deactivated all of my social media accounts, and just⦠chilled. The money would still flow in, but my goal was to have enough brand ambassadors to never have to promote myself. My name would be the only thing attached to my businesses. I wanted my kids to live a normal life outside of my fame.
Maze had specific goals she wanted to reach as well. There wasnât a timeframe on her rap career like mine, but she had a level she wanted to hit before retiring. After hitting that point, she wanted to switch her attention to songwriting. The first artist she wanted to write for was Havana. Aside from songwriting, Maze wanted to create her own jewelry line. It was then I realized she had on a different necklace and pair of earrings every time I saw her. Earlier today, she had on two necklaces â one was an anatomically correct heart and the other was her name.
When we were done eating, we climbed into her bed and finished our conversation. Now I was watching her fight her sleep, and it was probably the most adorable thing Iâd seen in a while. Her eyes were so heavy and low. Every so often, sheâd let them close and would shake her head and open them as widely as she could, releasing the cutest tired breath.
âGo to sleep, Maze.â
I used the tips of my fingers to gently close her eyes. They remained closed, but she scooted closer to me. So close, her face went into my neck. I wrapped my arm around her and rubbed her back, hoping she was finally going to go to sleep, but when she spoke, I figured that wasnât going to be happening any time soon.
