Mode
This measure tells us which value occurs the most in a set of values. For example, if our dataset consists of ten scores of students in an English test such as 90, 89, 97, 84, 90, 69, 73, 90, 99, 90.
So, which English score was most common here? 90, as you can see.
Learning to count has always been a part of mathematics
For this simple example, the mode is considered to be 90 even if there are times when you can get two numbers that occur the most number of times. Still, calculating the mode can be useful when we have categorical data as part of our dataset.
With that said, we have looked at the three measures of central tendency and will now move to a less common measure that one might have come across in descriptive statistics.
