I woke up again trying to figure out what happened to me, when Jas came off the other bed to check on me. She started crying when she saw that my eyes were open and started pressing the button for the nurses. I think that I was closest to Jas than I was the other two; probably because we were dating twins and pregnant together. I needed this damn nurse to come in and take this shit out of my throat.

I wanted to ask Mike why he wasn’t there when I woke up, but couldn’t speak, so he gave me paper to write it. He threw Candace under the bus with him, and she threw Alicia in it. I wanted to see my son, but was unsure of the time. I pointed to my wrist to ask for the time, and it was 6:30 in the morning, so I had Mike call my mom to bring Damien up, and the girls called everybody else.

They spoke about my condition for when I left, I told him I’m glad he fucked up. I got a kick out of that, because I was sure that Mike loved hearing that shit, but it was true. At ten o’ clock, everyone was in my hospital room, when Mike’s mom walked in with that bitch, Maria and I’m assuming, her son. The heart monitor started beeping faster, as Mike looked up and saw why.

“I’m going to ask you nicely to leave and I don’t want to cause a scene in front of Devon, but I will.”

“I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know we didn’t start off on the right foot, but I really thought that Mike and I could work it out. I kept getting these messages on Facebook from one of his friends saying he wanted to be with me and that was really why I came back.”

“After that stuff happened at his house, I went to his mom’s and told her. She offered me to stay there, because my mom only lived in a one bedroom and there was no room. I’m not going to lie, I still love him, and always will, but after seeing you two at the club, I knew you had his heart. The love I saw in both of your eyes showed me that there was nothing that I could do to break that. I didn’t deserve to be spit on, but the ass whooping, I knew was coming. Those are his sisters, and they’ve always had his back, so I didn’t expect anything differently.” She said, looking at Candace and Alicia, who nodded their heads.

“I see now that they have taken you under their wing, and I can respect that. All I ask is that, now that we’re back, don’t keep Mike from his son. I did some shit in the past to him that I now regret, but I have to live with the choices I made. But if this is who he’s going to be with, I would rather be cordial and not an enemy.
