I BELIEVED WITH ALL my heart that if the Huntress and her Sister Warriors had been in the village the outcome of the attack would have been vastly different

The Huntress put her hand on my shoulder and said,

“You were spared for a reason.”

“I believe that you will make the Ancestors, including your mother and father, very proud.”

“And when your time finally comes to join our forbearers”

“You will rest easy in the knowledge that you have lived a purposeful life”

“A life worth saving”

“But even more importantly, when the time is right”

“Yours will be a life worth dying for”
