Just like how each human has a unique set of fingerprints, every leopard has its own special rosette pattern!

Expert Tree Climbers

I’m great at climbing trees! Sometimes I’ll jump out of one to pounce on my unsuspecting prey. And then just to make sure a hyena or lion doesn’t steal my lunch, I’ll drag the whole thing up into my tree, so I can eat it in peace, or maybe save it for later. This type of food hiding is called caching (say “cash-ing”).

A mama leopard might hide her cubs in a hollow tree, cozy rock den, or small cave to keep them safe.

Where do you feel most safe?
