An adult Komodo dragon on Komodo Island awaits a meal.

This setup seemed to promote unnatural conditions for these endangered lizards and I was glad to hear that the policy had changed, at least to some degree. Although I appreciated getting to witness these huge, magnificent, and terrifying creatures dining at such close proximity, fortunately, there were no such dragon-feeding shows here at Zoo Atlanta.

Once the dragon had had a few treats, he was getting a lot more active and was moving very quickly. David had to keep his distance.
