The Application of Special Character Attributes

An attribute is simply a formatting feature such as Italic , BOLD or underlined text . You can also apply character attributes in Excel by choosing the data to be affected and pressing a key button in the Font set/group on the Home Tab .

Open the workbook from the previous lesson

a) Choose A3:O3

b) Proceed by guiding your pointer to the Font group and click the Bold button, then click the Italic button.

c) Choose A4:B8 and press the Bold button. The first and the last names now display bold.

d) SAVE the workbook.
