Chapter Twelve

Denzel wanted to prove to Charm that he wanted her around for much more than just sex. Or well he did prove to her that he wanted more from her because of the way he treated her, but there was still much more for him to give. So with Brianna’s help, he was ready to set up something nice for her. But in the meanwhile he was trying to refrain from having sex with her so much. That didn’t seem like a problem since the next morning when they awoke, and a couple days later, Charm didn’t seem like herself. The time she usually took to paint, she was using to sleep. After the third day of the same routine, Denzel was deeply concerned. She convinced him that she was fine but it was just unusual.

“Baby girl, I made some food,” Denzel said going into his bedroom. Again, Charm was sleeping in bed. This was her third nap for the day. And it’s been like that for the past couple days.

“Okay,” she groaned. “I’m not really hungry though.” Denzel went over to the bed and sat next to her. She turned over on her back so she could look at him.

“You worry me,” He said to her.

“I’m just not hungry Denzel. I wanna just sleep.”

“But you been sleeping all day Charm, and you haven’t eaten all day.” He looked down at her body. She wasn’t losing as weight, not to him but not eating was a big concern. That’s how she was when she initially left Terrell. He didn’t want to have her retreating back into those emotions.

“I don’t know I just feel weak.”

“Want to go to a doctor?” Denzel asked.

“No. maybe I just need some vitamins.” Denzel rubbed her thigh.

“Okay I’ll get you some. I don’t like seeing you like this.” Charm smiled weakly. She wasn’t sure what was up with her but she’d been feeling like no matter how much she slept she was just still tired. Not to mention she didn’t want to eat anything.

“I hope this has nothing to do with Terrell.” Denzel said. Charm gave him a look. She hadn’t been thinking about Terrell a lot at all since she was sleeping in Denzel’s arms for a couple days straight. With Denzel, she didn’t have time to obsess over Terrell. Instead of answering Denzel though she just sucked her teeth and turned away from him.

“What’s that now? You upset at something?”

“You, for asking me dumb questions,” She said.

“Don’t get crazy with me,” Denzel warned her. He’d barely experienced her attitude but in the moment he kind of didn’t mind her being snappy. It showed that no one was ever perfect. And not all relationships was going to be without argument.

“Not like you gonna do anything about it. You haven’t touched me in how many days now?” Denzel’s eyes went wide. He turned Charm back over to make her look at him.

“You can barely keep your eyes open and you want me to try and fuck you?” He asked.
