Sleeping & Eating

The accommodations here are among the best in the country’s national-park system. Visitors can choose between simple and spotless cabins (per person L$100) with bunk beds, hot-water bathroom, and linens (and even soap); or camping (per person L$20) on a grassy field overlooking a beautiful valley. The visitors center also rents camping gear (L$30 per night for a tent and sleeping bag) and sells basic toiletries.

The park can provide meals in the cafeteria as long as two prerequisites are met: at least seven people are interested and advance notice is given. That probably means you’re on your own for food. Plan to bring your own eats and either enjoy them raw or rent the cafeteria kitchen (L$160 per day) to cook them.
