Have you ever watched an extrovert in action? They can be very good at superficial small talk and conversations. It’s not that they like small talk any more or less than the classic introvert, they just can’t tolerate the silence. As a result, it is more common for extroverts to have many acquaintances who know just enough about them, but less common for them to have several people within their innermost circle. Additionally, the extrovert may have issues filtering what they say. They go too fast and maybe too far with their talking, and may not always censor what they are saying. This can sometimes create friction within friendships.
