Chapter Fifteen

Ava led Parker back up to the penthouse suite, holding her hand against her lower back as they rode the elevator.

“I haven’t had a chance to ask,” Ava looked down Parker’s body, eying her with a hungry flash traveling through her eyes. “Did you wear exactly what the note said?”

Parker’s eyebrows knitted as she glanced down at herself, checking from her shoes to her dress, and even the necklace around her neck as she reached up to make sure it was really hanging there. “I did everything,” Parker sounded unsure of herself even as she said it.

Ava was smirking. “So you aren’t wearing underwear beneath your dress?”

A laugh bubbled out from Parker’s lips before she could stop herself. In the excitement of everything, she had forgotten all about that little rule when she had been getting ready to meet Ava. “No underwear,” she admitted.

“Perfect,” Ava’s voice poured like sweet honey from her lips as she slipped her hand lower down Parker’s back until her fingers were grazing against the soft curve of her ass. “I don’t want us to waste any time when we get to your room.”

A shudder traveled up Parker’s thighs and as she stared greedily at Ava’s face the elevator stopped moving and the doors slid open. “Shall we go then?”

Ava grabbed Parker’s hand and led her off the elevator. “I hope you know what’s in store for you.”

Parker was pulled gently from the elevator and followed Ava’s rushed footsteps as the two women went to the penthouse suite doors. She wondered what Ava could mean by that. What was in store for her? She had some guesses, but then again, she had never been able to guess Ava’s next move. Ava was constantly surprising her at every turn in their relationship. She didn’t know what to expect, especially now that Ava was going to stay the entire night with her.

They opened the doors together and Ava strode straight to the bed. She turned on her heels and propped one hip out to the side. “Are you ready for your punishment?”

Shit. She had forgotten all about a punishment. Parker’s heart sank as she wondered what exactly was coming for her; she didn’t want anything about this night to be taken from her. It had been the most perfect day, and she wanted it to stay exactly that way. Perfect.

“I guess I don’t have much of a choice,” Parker murmured, scared to let go of the mental high she had been riding since seeing her art hanging in the museum.

Ava pursed her red lips and shook her head. “No, you don’t. This is what happens when you don’t listen to me. And as I’ve told you before, I don’t like to be disobeyed.”

“I’m sorry,” Parker tried saying quickly, wishing that those words would somehow be enough for Ava to believe her.

Ava opened a small drawer next to the bed and pulled out a long silk sash. “I don’t need an apology,” Ava said as she looked at Parker.
