Chapter 12

Monty shaved his face at the bathroom sink, swishing the razor

in the basin full of water. He let the sink drain and turned on the

shower, climbing in and scrubbing the residue of oil off his skin.

He soaped up his cock and ran it through his palm thinking of

sucking Kellie. He had to be mindful of Kellie’s wishes and

respect them. Doing risky things was something that had become

second nature to Monty. So exchanging sex acts with a man he

was growing fond of in a locked private room did not qualify as

risky in his book. But then, he didn’t work there—Kellie did.

Monty had to respect Kellie’s high moral standards and the fact

that he knew mixing sex with massage was wrong. Kellie didn’t

work in a whorehouse nor was he a slut.

Monty finished up in the shower and as he dried off, his home

phone rang. He groaned and allowed the towel to drape over his

shoulders as he walked to the kitchen to pick up the extension.

“What?” He read the caller ID was Brandon.

“You up for a radio interview?”

“Sure. When?”

“Twenty minutes?”

“What? No.” Monty shook his head and checked the wall

clock. “Brandon, I have a date with Kellie and I’m not fucking it

up this time. Ask Zak to do it.”

“You and I are the management behind this operation.”

“No. I’m going out to dinner. If you can’t handle an interview

one on one, then don’t get involved in the promo.” Monty used

the end of the towel to wipe his dripping hair.

“You going to get like this? Three days before our first

session?”

“Are you and Kathy getting a divorce?”

“What?”

Monty leaned against the kitchen counter and folded his arm

over his chest. “You heard me.”

It was silent on the other end.

“When you got through with your last tour you told me you

were going to devote your time to Kathy.”

“With this new set up, I’m too busy.”

“She waited for you, ya dick.” When the other end of the line

grew silent again, Monty walked to his bedroom and threw the

towel on the bed. “Don’t fuck it up.” He took clean briefs and

socks out of his dresser drawer.

“I don’t wanna talk about it.”

“You should. You should go talk to someone. Are you going

to let fifteen years of marriage go to waste?”

Brandon didn’t reply again.

“Man, I have to get ready. I told Kel I’d be there to get him at

seven.”

“Fine. I’ll do the fucking interview on my own.”

The line disconnected so Monty tossed the phone on the bed

and finished getting dressed.

Kellie raced around his apartment getting ready. He blew his

hair dry after his shower, and now wished he had cut it short. He

intended on it, soon. After debating on letting it hang loose or

tying it up, Kellie threw up his hands and left it loose.

He dabbed on cologne, put on his best black slacks and

favorite crew neck shirt, checked for cash, his mobile phone, his

keys, and then paced the small apartment straightening it up for

when Monty showed.

His apartment security buzzer sounded. Kellie raced to it,

pushing the button to unlock the door. He dashed to the

bathroom
