What was your most exciting research discovery?

At the top would be my father’s paternal DNA test revealing that he is biologically a Burke, rather than a Watson, descended from Richard Óg de Burgh, 2nd Earl of Ulster and Richard the Lionheart, King of England. Second, when I located my ancestor Patrick Coffey’s naturalization record and learned he had emigrated from County Westmeath, Ireland, in 1851. I’d been at a brick wall for months when I’d found this tissue-paper-thin document at an archive in southwestern Wisconsin. Third would be finding James Watson’s military discharge papers that noted his birth location as Pollokshaws, Scotland. This enabled my family to visit his hometown and narrowed the scope of my research.
