Frankie

“You have to go see her son.” My mom said and rubbed my back. I stopped by here to eat some breakfast and then I was on my way to see Lexi.

When I stormed out the hospital, I stayed in the hotel for one night. The only person who had a clue where I would be is Lexi and she was asleep at the time. She knew when I wanted to be alone exactly where I’d be. It’s not like I didn’t wanna see her, I needed to find the nigga who did this. I wanted his head on a spike and I planned on stopping at nothing until its done.

The next day, I woke up early as hell, got dressed, grabbed something to eat and headed over to spot we went to last night. I had to know if the nigga came back for his girl or not.

When I arrived, the place was swarmed with cops, coroners and detectives but I didn’t care. This motherfucker would return and when he did I’d be waiting and ready to pull the trigger. I parked down the street but still close enough where I could see.

I have to admit when the chick said, he had been courting Lexi for reasons we didn’t know of, it shocked us. Lexi swore this dude was good to her; per her mother because she wasn’t speaking to me. But somehow, he knew about her before she knew about him. But how? What is his affiliation with Lexi? Unless she did something at school none of us are aware of, there’s no reason. She was a good girl who barely got in trouble. She won’t allow anyone to treat her like shit either but overall, she kept her cool at all times.

“I’m going after I leave here.”

“Good. And make sure you tell her to come see me when she can.” She kissed my forehead and left me in there to eat. I picked my phone up and stared at the message SJ sent about Kane Jr. and his mom getting arrested and how shit was crazy at the hospital. I sent him a text to say I was on my way. My pops walked in and looked at me.

“How’d it go?” I knew he was referring to us getting the dude because I hadn’t spoken to him either. I explained everything and he was as shocked as us when it came to Lexi.

“I put the word out on him to some of my people too so don’t worry son. We’re gonna find and kill him for taking away your first born and my grandchild.” He gave me a hug and both of us sat there eating and discussing other things.

“Have you seen your cousin Raya?” He asked and started sipping on his orange juice.

Raya is my uncle Hurricane’s daughter. She was eighteen and in college almost an hour away. She too was a good girl too, however; she confided in me about being with some guy. She claimed they knew one another from high school but he never approached her until she was legal.
