Sure, you could dine in an Uptown high rise with skyline views or in a lakefront grille with waterfront vistas, but you’re unlikely to find a more breathtaking vista in Charlotte than the one from this club over looking the Charlotte Motor Speedway. While the club fills up to standing room only on race days, it’s a perfect spot for NASCAR fans to dine any day. Most of the time the menu features traditional, elegant options like shrimp cocktail, grilled brie, and rich and creamy shrimp and grits. On race days seatings are limited to one hour and are fixed price, often from a buffet. One of the best times to come is lunch, when you’ll get bright daytime views of the massive speedway below, where you’ll often see activities like driving schools taking place on the massive track. And don’t forget to dress nicely and bring your best manners. While NASCAR may have a rep as a casual sport, this club with its white table cloths, wood-paneled walls, and gourmet menu is an upscale addition to the favorite local pastime.
