Chapter 11

I heard that you a gang-gang-gangsta

Not one to try to sa-sa-savour

Always focus on your paper

Don’t got time to wager with your heart

“Change Your Life” Kehlani ft Jhene Aiko

“Wake up biiitttccchhh. Our niggas on the way!” Karter shouted as she busted into Honest’ee’s room.

Honest’ee was already up and dressed. She was in the bathroom that connected to her room flat ironing her hair.

“Oh, bitch you up and ready huh? And you straightening your hair? You tryna bust it open for brousin?” Karter eyes with her eyebrows raised. She didn’t expect her friend to be going all out for Truth or for anyone for that matter, but she was here for it.

“No bitch I’m not tryna bust it open. I just wanted to do something different. I haven’t flat ironed my hair since Pac died.”

“Yo shit got long Tee.” Karter said, running her hands through her best friend’s hair. Tee hadn’t worn her hair straight in so long, she was surprised at how much it grew herself.

“It did and I didn’t even realize it. I’m in love with it though. I think I’ma keep it straight for a minute.

“New bitch who dis.” Karter said, sticking her tongue out.

Honest’ee laughed at her friend. She could always count on a ratchet moment with her.

“Sooo what are you going to tell Milly about who Truth is?”

“The truth bitch, he’s a friend. That’s it, that’s all.”

“Yea for now heffa. He finna have you face down ass up in a minute.”

“And I just might like it bitch.” Tee said, putting one leg on the toilet, popping her ass.

“Ayyyeee okay friend.”

“Okay I’m done hoe, let’s go downstairs. And what time them niggas gone be here because I want my coffee.”

“They should be pulling up soon. When I talked to Khaos they were leaving the donut shop.”

“I don’t want no donut shop coffee though.” Tee said, with her face turned up. She hated gas station, and donut shop coffee. She really didn’t drink any coffee unless it was made at home or from Starbucks.

“Khaos’ ass know not to bring me no dirt tasting coffee.”

Just as she said that the doorbell was ringing. The friends both looked at each other as to see who would get the door.

“So, you not gone to answer the door?” Karter asked her friend.

“Why can’t you get it? That’s yo nigga.”

“And bitch this yo house so you win.” Karter said, and went and sat at the kitchen counter.

“I can’t stand yo ass. Next time take yo ass home and have that nigga bring yo coffee there.” Tee said, as she walked to answer the door.

As soon as she answered it, the sight of Truth took her breath away. This man was so fine, and she could smell the Guilty Gucci radiating off him. As always, his hazel eyes were piercing, and that light toffee skin shined as if he was dipped in oil. She could feel the wetness between her legs growing as the two of them stood there staring at each other.

“Damn sis is you gone let us in or you gone stare at this nigga and let yo coffee get cold.
